FPCA literary team competes at state
Five members of the First Presbyterian Christian Academy Literary Team: Kaelan Dorr, Caroline Riley, Nicole Lartigue, Megan Matthews, and Patrick Steele, competed in the GISA Class A State Meet on March 16 at Valdosta State University.
At the meet, the students competed in spelling, dramatic oral interpretation, argumentative essay, rhetorical essay, and personal essay. Patrick Steele won his second consecutive state title for spelling. Caroline Riley placed fourth overall in rhetorical essay. Seventh-place finishes went to Nicole Lartigue for personal essay, Kalean Dorr for argumentative essay, and Megan Matthews for dramatic oral interpretation. This was FPCA’s second appearance at the state level in the GISA literary competition.
